Terms and conditions contained herein are legally binding.
By placing an order with the website www.OnlyOakFurniture.co.uk either by online or phone you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions listed and will override any terms and conditions proposed by the purchaser.
We recommend you shall not proceed with your purchase until you have read and agreed with these terms and conditions.
- Product specs
1.1 We will endeavour to display our products within the website as accurately as possible, however there is no guarantee the completeness of accuracy of the pictures or photographs that are shown.
We and our suppliers continually develop our products and reserve the right to amend any specification of goods or products without prior notice; this may include adjustment of sizes or detailing. Please email or call if a small adjustment to size will make an item unusable when it arrives.
1.2 No two products will ever be identical; all our furniture is made from natural wood and accordingly appearances may vary. Some woods will have varying degrees of distressing applied; this is very much intended and makes each piece totally unique as intended by the craftsmen. We sell only genuinely rustic designs; therefore, you will find that wood splints, knots, nail holes, wood filling, purpose distressing, antiquating, and scratch marks are common, and are intended as part of the manufacturing process; they are not defects. It is common certain ranges will have extra distressing applied making them appear as a dulling or a rubbing affect to the waxed finish as our products are made from natural materials.
1.3 All our leather products are taken from the finest of hides and will show natural marks and scars. This is high quality leather and accordingly may not result in uniform colour or textures.
1.4 Only Oak Furniture offers a range of furniture of which some may require self-assembly, this is to protect some items during carriage. It is recommended that if you are not practically minded you take advantage of our premium assembly service, refer to para 4.1, Instructions will be provided for all items needing assembly. We will not be responsible for damage occurring during the self-assembly process.
1.5 From time to time we have a clearance section on our website. Items purchased from this section may contain items from discontinued ranges or items that have been removed from there packaging. The items may have been excessively handled therefore they may have knocks, scratches or other defects. The reduced sale price takes into consideration any or all of the defects referred to above.
- Prices and Discounts
2.1 All prices include VAT (Value added Tax) where appropriate, at the prevailing rate and are subject to any promotional offer or discount. We will not be bound to honour any prices where we have indicted to you subsequently that the prices displayed have been displayed in error. In these cases a full refund will be given. For new orders, we will not refund the price difference or price match once an order has been placed. If an order is cancelled then re-ordered to the same address than an administration charge of £50 will be charged to that same address.
2.2 From time to time we can offer discounts on some of our products. These discounts are dependant on many things therefore may vary over time. Please when given a discount code use it within 48 Hrs as the codes do change on a regular basis.
Please Note: Discounts will not be available when using 0% Finance options. We do apologise, but any order placed on 0% Finance will be rejected if there is a discount code applied to it.
3.1 Payment will be taken in full at the time of the order.
3.2 You must pay by credit card, debit card, or by finance. The price of any product is the price in place at the date and time of your order. You undertake that all details you provide to us for the purpose of purchasing products which may be offered by us on our website or in our stores will be correct; the credit, finance, or debit card that you use is your own and that there are sufficient funds or credit facilities to cover the cost of any products. We reserve the right to obtain validation of your credit or debit card details before accepting you order.
3.3 We reserve the rights to refuse any orders placed by you.
3.4 An additional option of consumer finance may be taken by you subject to status. The contract shall not have been concluded until any documents that require signatures are returned and completed. We cannot be responsible for any delays to your delivery caused by the late return of the signed finance agreements.
4.1 We are able to deliver orders to you if you have a permanent UK mainland address. Delivery to certain postcodes may take longer. Delivery dates will be confirmed via email or text message prior to your delivery date. Where the email does not contain a date, we will endeavour to fulfil your orders within the time scales advertised on the individual products on your order. All purchases must make an allowance of 10 to 20 working days from the date of dispatch for our couriers to fulfil the final delivery to you home.
Standard delivery will be free. Standard delivery is by a 1-man team and carried to a ground floor room of choice only. For orders over 90 kg, we will upgrade your standard delivery to our premium delivery service, free of charge for your convenience. For orders under 90kg (individual item) you can of course can upgrade to our premium delivery service and have your furniture delivered to a room of choice on a 1st or 2nd floor. Customers should prepare for the delivery and make their own arrangements to transfer their package to a room of their own choice above the second floor. Customers selecting assembly of goods may be eligible for removal of packaging. Please be aware removal and disposal of packaging will deem the goods as been accepted and free from fault. All deliveries will be subject to uninterrupted accessibility to the room of choice, please ensure you check the dimensions of your purchase before ordering to ensure they will fit into your home, otherwise you may be liable for cancellation of delivery, paragraph 4.2 will apply.
4.2 Orders take 2 days to deliver once the items have left our warehouse; therefore, any amendments to the delivery time, date, lack of safe access, no access or cancellation will incur the following charges:

Failed deliveries will not be rescheduled until payment has been received. You have the right to cancel your order after a failed delivery. However, any refund will be minus the £50 (per item) failed delivery charge.

4.3 You are responsible for providing a safe means of access from the public highway to the place of delivery. If our courier considered that access is unsafe we will not deliver the goods until safe access is provided and you may be liable for cancellation of delivery, paragraph 4.2 will apply.
4.4 Any changes made to your order may impact on the stipulated delivery date. If we are unable to deliver your entire order on the same day, we will deliver in instalments. We will not charge for this service unless it is at your own request for us to do so, paragraph 4.2 will apply.
4.5 If we are responsible for any damage to goods in the course of delivery, our liability for that damage is limited to the repair, replacement or refund of the goods to the value there-of. If there is any damage to the property, the delivery company will be solely responsible. We will do everything possible to help resolve any damage to your property. It is the customer’s responsibility to remove any trip hazards, furniture, wall fixtures or ornaments that will constrict the path. Although many of our couriers provide floor protection it is ultimately your responsibility to protect your floors and carpets.
4.6 We will not be liable of any loss or damage of any reasonable delay of any foreseen circumstances outside of the reasonable control of www.OnlyOakFurniture.co.uk or any reasonable rescheduling of delivery.
4.7 Mattresses need to be checked on delivery by the customer and are non-returnable, non-refundable once signed for and packing has been opened in any way.
- Returns, refunds and your right to cancel
5.1 You have the statuary right to return any products you have purchased within 14 working days. To do so you must notify us with writing or email within 7 days, this will entitle you to a refund from us which will be paid to you within 30 days of cancellation. All returned items must resalable and in ‘as new’ condition. Therefore, they must be in the original wrappings, unused and not assembled (if applicable). Please ensure that the person unwrapping the item is very careful to keep the packaging intact. This is also essential in preventing the item being damaged on its return. Please do not fix packaging to pieces with tape, as this may damage the wood and finish. Please be aware removal and disposal of packaging will deem the goods as been accepted and free from fault. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if any item is deemed to be non-re-sell-able. Even if you had free delivery we reserve the right to ask the customer to pay all relevant costs of the return of all items which is as listed in Para 4.2. Area postcodes listed in para 4.2 will incur surcharges. Restocking fees of between 20-50% will be incurred in all cases of returns due to change of mind. If items have been assembled then these items cannot be returned. Please note that is an assembly service has been used to refuse the order before the items are assembled to qualify for change of mind return.
*5.2 We will return items for free (If the delivery has been upgraded to premium then the return charges will apply.) If we deliver incorrect or damaged goods, or if you discover any defect in the goods for which you require compensation or other remedy, you must report the defect within 48Hrs, after which no item will be accepted for return unless faulty. A fault may be classified as a defect that manifests itself within 30 days of delivery and not due to maltreatment by the customer. We will not accept any returns for any reason after 30 days of delivery. All items that are to be returned for damage must be photographed and sent to us for approval.
5.3 Each case is reviewed within its own merits, if we accept your claim, we will remedy the situation by way of repair, allowance, replacement or refund. We will not be reliable for any damage or loss resulting from repairs attempted by you or third parties. Refunds will only be processed once the item has been collected.
5.4 All items of furniture are purchased as individual items and as such we will only refund and replace any items that are defective or damaged. You are not entitled to reject other items purchased together with the damaged or defective item. In event that the replacement items are not available we will refund the purchase price or offer as similar item from another range which we believe compliments the other items you have purchased.
5.5 Any made to measure furniture will not be offered for a full refund due to restocking costs. The customer will receive 60% of the order amount and the remaining 40% will be passed to the manufacturer as a restocking fee. We will not accept any returns including damaged items which have been self-assembled; you must fully check you item before its assembled.
5.6 Collection of goods: if a customer has collected the goods either form our distribution centre/ warehouse/showroom they cannot be returned unless they have a manufacturing fault. The goods will need to be returned to the point of collection at your cost.

- Applicable Law
7.1 We control and operate the website from our offices within the UK according to the laws of England and wales government relating to, including the use of this website and the materials contained therein. If you chose to access our website from outside England and wales you do soon your own initiative and hereby agree that in the event of a dispute of ourselves and you the laws of England and wales will apply at all times.

8.2 Only Oak Furniture makes every effort to ensure this website is free from viruses or defects. However due to the nature of the internet we cannot guarantee that your use of this website won’t affect your computer. We recommend for purchase of anti-virus software in order to use this website. Only Oak shall not be liable in the event that while using this website your computer equipment is damaged.
